Tilquhillie
Forest Sprint
Wed 18th May 2016
Type of event: Sprint
Type of terrain: Forest
Results
6th in the Maroc / Gramp forest sprint series.
Take the turn off immediately east of the Bridge of Feugh, on the South Deeside Road, veer left after 100 metres (signposted Tilquhillie), continue for approx. one kilometre, parking is in the wood on left at the top of the hill at grid reference NO 714 947. (HIll of Maryfield Wood). Please park "efficiently" as this is a smallish area but is on good hardstanding.
The course is in Maryfield Wood which is 500m from the parking area with access along the narrow Tilquhillie road. The road is not heavily used but please take care when making your way to and from the course.
Single course, reasonably tricky orange level, 2.9 km, 125m climbing, 14 controls. There is a little bit of windblow but the course avoids the most grotty area of the map.
Tillyfourie
Forest Sprint
Wed 04th May 2016
Type of event: Sprint
Type of terrain: Forest
Results
4th in the Maroc / Gramp forest sprint series.
Parking signposted “Pitfichie Cycle Trails” on the B993 about 3km south west of Monymusk. We will use the Forestry Commission car park about 400m in from this signpost.
Single course, reasonably tricky orange level, 3.5km, 15 controls. Some thinning has meant a few rough bits and extra tracks in certain places.
