The fIrst Maroc forest sprint of the year will be at Tillyfourie on Friday 17th April. A completely new area for orienteering, Tillyfourie offers just enough contour, rock and vegetation detail to make it an excellent addition to Maroc’s map portfolio.
A single ‘tricky’ orange course. 3.6km with a tough 115m of climb, 12 controls, 1:10,000 map scale. Enter from the signposted ‘Pitfichie Forest Cycle Trails’ sign at grid reference 657 126 to the south west of Monymusk on the B993 and continue 400m to small Forestry Commission carpark. Car sharing essential as only room for around 20 cars including general public.
