Jon Duncan Junior Deeside Cup 2018

I'm sure the sharp-eyed amongst you will have noticed some people in the wrong age categories in the previously published standings!  Here is a revision of the standings, hopefully with the correct age categories for everyone this time: JD2C standings.  Further update after the Shooting Greens event to follow soon...

Results in italics indicate that the competitor was shadowed and score half points.  The coordinator has asked that people get in touch if the status (shadowed or not shadowed) is incorrect for your family members.

Braemar Mountain Festival

2-4th Mar 2018

We will be hosting some introductory orienteering events suitable for all at the Braemar Mountain Festival at the beginning of March. There will be 3 sessions on Fri, Sat and Sun afternoon which will take place in Creag Choinnich woodland and up onto Carn nan Sgliat.

Orienteering is an excellent way of practising skills for application to mountain navigation, with the particular bonus that there is an opportunity to successively repeat and reinforce skills over a short duration.

Participants in the morning festival navigation sessions may wish to test out their new skills by trying out the afternoon orienteering courses.

Club Coach Information

Maroc organises regular training sessions for all club members. The sessions involve technical exercises designed to practice different skills and techniques required in orienteering. Participants are allocated to a small group according to their age and experience with each group led by a qualified coach.

The club has quite a large pool of coaches, but is always looking for more people interested in being trained. Current coaches are listed below.
