Trevor’s update follows:
I’d like to add my congratulations to the MAROC junior team that retained the JST last Sunday. In spite of our large numbers, the way it is scored also gives smaller clubs a good chance, and ECKO and FVO both ran us close…..
“Congratulations to everyone that took part in the JST today and achieved another terrific win against stiff opposition. That’s the 5th time in a row that we’ve won, proving once again that we have the best junior team in Scotland. Its a great team event, and I was particularly pleased that no one miss punched or didn’t turn up. I was especially impressed with the juniors that have only just started orienteering with us this year, and how quickly they’ve improved and how well they did today.”
Lots of great new on the junior front. Read on for Trevor’s report covering the Jubilee5 and the Scottish Championships, JIRCs, badge qualification updates and summer tour selections amongst other things. Congratulations to a lot of juniors!

2011 Final Results
Three youngsters have been selected to join the Maroc Junior Talent Squad for 2012. Congratulations to Ewen Kerridge, Jenny Ricketts and Callum Roberts who will join the existing 2011 squad.
MAROC’s juniors finished an excellent third in this years Peter Palmer relay held yesterday (start 04.45 am) organised by BAOC and held near Stafford. The team finished behind Lakeland and South Yorkshire but took the small clubs trophy. The long journey south was obviously well worthwhile. Great result!
