Further afield, the Gooch family scooped an orienteering hat trick with  Matthew Gooch winning his age class at the recent Portugal O Meet, whilst Joel and Dan both took 2nd place in theirs.

Jon Duncan Junior Deeside Cup 2018

I'm sure the sharp-eyed amongst you will have noticed some people in the wrong age categories in the previously published standings!  Here is a revision of the standings, hopefully with the correct age categories for everyone this time: JD2C standings.  Further update after the Shooting Greens event to follow soon...

Results in italics indicate that the competitor was shadowed and score half points.  The coordinator has asked that people get in touch if the status (shadowed or not shadowed) is incorrect for your family members.

Junior Colour and Participation Badges Update

Latest update to the Junior Colour and Participation badges, updated after events at Scolty and Anagach.

With the AGM coming up, please cast your eye over this (or get parents to do it for you!) and let us know if you think we've missed anything for you - we wouldn't want anyone to miss out on a badge that they are entitled to - you can use to let us know.

Jon Duncan Junior Deeside Cup change (again!!) and trophy return

It has now been agreed that the MAROC event on 1st October will be included in the JD2C, so we're back up to 9 events. The remaining events counting for the JD2C are therefore Cambus o' May on 1st October, Forvie on 15th October and Scolty on 5th November.  Scoring will now be best 5 out of 9 events.

Those of you who have trophies, please return them to John Mason at one of the upcoming events so that they can be engraved and awarded to this year's winners at the MAROC and/or GRAMP AGMs.

Jon Duncan Junior Deeside Cup Schedule Change

We have had to reduce the number of qualifying races for the JD2C: the best 4 of 8 races will now count towards the final results, with the revised schedule here. This has been caused by the reduced number of level C events this year, and in particular with Scolty having been postponed from17th September to the 5th November (therefore no Bennachie event).

The remaining 2 events counting for the JD2C are therefore Forvie on 15th October and Scolty on 5th November.

GRAMP are now planning to run the Scolty event on the 5th November in place of the Bennachie event currently in the schedule.
