Club weekend at Feshiebridge

With the success of last year's club weekend, the club will again be staying at Feshiebridge to coincide with the Highland WOLF events on Speyside. We will be staying at Feshiebridge Lodge from 22nd September to Sunday 24th September. Invites have been sent out by email (but if you've not received one and think you should have, let us know via !).

Orienteering will be provided by BASOC with middle distance (near Grantown-on-Spey) and urban event (at Aviemore) on the Saturday and SOL 5 at Inshriach on the Sunday. For those with energy to spare the event ceilidh is at Lagganlia on the Saturday night. This is right next door to the accomodation at Feshiebridge lodge. Further details for all the events on the BASOC websiteNote that entries close on 10th September. The weekend also features the Veteran Home International this year.

JD2C Stop Press

MAROC committee are proposing that the level D event at Coull this Sunday 30th April count as a JD2C event.  This is contrary to the note on 15th April that Tyrebagger would be the next JD2C event.

Although Coull is a Level D event, there is a good range of courses and any beginners can be shadowed on the white.

GRAMP event at Balmedie 5th February

The next Sunday event from GRAMP is a middle distance race at Balmedie with yellow, light green, green and blue courses.

On the blue and green courses, they've added a twist: two or three of the controls will have no control code provided, so you’ll have to find the correct control unit purely from the map and control description.  There will be several false controls placed nearby to try to confuse you! … and each time you punch a wrong control, a 3 minute time penalty will be applied.

Full details on the GRAMP website.
