Yes, it's already time to start thinking about next year's JD2C! The dates for all of 2016's JD2C events are in the attached file, along with the competition rules. First event on 10th January.
2015 Forest Sprint Series
Final Scores and Positions after race 6 (Dess) are now available.
Well done to the top three: Janne, Angel and Bob with Joe and Abi being the top two juniors.
Great success for Banchory Academy and Maroc athletes in Turkey at World Schools 2015
The team put up the best ever performance by a Scottish representation at the World Schools Championships, last week at Antalya in Turkey. MAROC members were at the forefront of that success.
2015 Spring Sprints
The DNC is well past now so it must be time for the Spring Sprints. Here's what's on offer for 2015:
- 10th April: Countesswells (GRAMP)
- 17th April: Tillyfourie - a new area for us!
- 24th April: Tollohill (GRAMP)
- 1st May: Tilquhilllie
- 8th May: Scolty (GRAMP)
- 15th May: Dess
All are on Fridays with starts from 18:00-19:00. Just one course of Technical Difficulty 3 (around 3km with an estimated winning time of 15-20 mins) with the best 4 to count for the series. Please visit the relevant page on Gramp or MAROC websites for detail nearer each race date. Just turn up and run.
Maroc at Jukola 2014
Maroc sent two teams to Jukola 2014 with a 42 year age spread between oldest and youngest.
Team 1: M20; M20; W21; W18; M16; M55; M50 put in an overall time that would have placed 255th and top British…but there was also an unfortunate mp though.
Team 2: M40; M35; W45; M18; M16; M50; M45 closed out in about 503rd. This in a field of about 1600 teams.

Another Jamie Stevenson Trophy win For MAROC in 2014
MAROCs juniors once again won the Jamie Stevenson Trophy beating ECKO and ESOC into 2nd and 3rd place at Deuchney Wood, Perth last weekend.

2014 Deeside Forest Sprints
MAROC and GRAMP are joining forces again, this time to put on the Deeside Forest Sprint-O series. The series will commence on Friday 11th April at Tollo Hill and the single course event format will cater for all Orienteers of TD3 standard and above. Shadowing is allowable but please make such occurrences known to the Organiser. Expected winning times for the evening races will be in the order of 15-20 minutes.

The (JD)2C competition will be run over 13 x Level C events with the best 6 scores counting for each runner.
