Club members have been getting together over the holidays for some physical training.
Talent Squad Weekend in Glen Urquhart
Last weekend, Maroc junior talent squad travelled across to Glen Urquhart for a full weekend of training. They worked hard and had lots of fun. Read on to find out more.
If you would like to join the junior talent squad in the future this is what you need to do:
(1) Be in age class M/W 16 or older
(2) Have reached a technical level where you are achieving consistently high performances on TD5 courses (green and above)
(3) Have demonstrated commitment to improve your orienteering

Coaching and Training Opportunity
Coaching sessions are being held on Saturday afternoons in late October and throughout November. Targeting those orienteers looking to improve their ability at technical difficulty 4 or 5 level the approximately hour long sessions are open to all. The only obligation is a commitment to attend at least 4 of the 6 sessions. Contact {encode="" title="Roger"} for more details and to sign up asap. The first session is on October 29th at 13:00.
Spring Technical Training
Training for better technique is a great way to welcome spring and the clocks going forward. There is one more indoor session and two more Technical Talks then it’s all outdoors. Read more to see dates and locations.
Indoor Training & Technical Talk Program
For the next 4 Wednesday evenings there is indoor training (circuits and other assorted fun) in Banchory Sports Hall and a talk by an expert in a subject related to sporting excellence. The first of these is on Wednesday 2nd March with Fraser Clyne (experienced internationl marathon runner) attending to talk on endurance running.

Junior training at Dess on 9th January marked the launch of MAROCs new Junior Talent Squad.
