28th Dec 11

Club members have been getting together over the holidays for some physical training. Several of the Night O brigade joined a group of Deeside Runners for their annual winter solstice headtorch run up Morven on the shortest day of the year. Although it was a mild evening there was a strong headwind all the way up which made for a tough climb. Maroc Talent squad got together with parents and friends for long hill runs up Carnferg from Aboyne on the 24th, and across Dinnet Muir and up Cnoc Dubh on the 28th. This stage of the year is a good time to be working on physical fitness and strength and the hard work is sure to reap benefits come the competition season.
