Upcoming Events
The next Maroc event is on the 20th March at Torphantrick, but lots of dates for your diary before then. Lots to consider, so a brief roundup of what's happening in the next few weeks seemed a good idea. Deadlines for entry to SOL1, JK and CSC all imminent!
21st Feb: Darnaway level C event. Returning after a 3 year break for the WOC embargo. See the MOR website for full details of this event near Forres.
21st Feb: SoSol 3 at Kames, Muirkirk, East Ayrshire. New area for Ayrshire Orienteering Club comprising open moorland with intricate mineworkings, very different to Deeside forests!
24th Feb: Deadline for getting your SOL1 entries in!
28th Feb: AUOCup event at Crathes organised by Aberdeen Uni Club.
3rd Mar: Deadline for entry to JK2016.
4th Mar: Deadline for entry to Compass Sport Cup.
6th Mar: SOL 1 at Elibank in the Tweed Valley. First Scottish Orienteering League event of the year.
13th Mar: Compass Sport Cup at Dumyat near Stirling. Maroc competing in the large club category. Note white, yellow and light green are not CSC competition classes, so won't count points for the club, but are available for those who still want to run them.
13th Mar: AUOCup event at Balgownie organised by Aberdeen Uni Club.
20th Mar: Torphantrick level C including JD2C (Maroc).
20th Mar: AUOCup event at Scolty organised by Aberdeen Uni Club.
25th-28th Mar: The JK in Yorkshire: Sprint race in Leeds Uni on Friday, Long Distance Race / Elite Middle Distance at Wass Forest (N. York moors) on Saturday, Long Distance Race at Kilnsey (Yorkshire Dales) on Sunday, Relay at Storthes Hall on Monday. You should already have let Sarah Dunn know if you want to run in a relay team on Monday.
