There were some top results for club members at the two recent Scottish O League races at Forvie and Errochty. The event at Errochty was held in conjunction with the Senior Home International (Scotland / England / Ireland / Wales) match. Although no Maroc members were representing Scotland this year, there were some strong markers put down for the future. Rhona McMillan, running W18, was also competing against the W20 class and succeeded in not only winning her age group, but also beating all of the W20 runners competing in the Home Internationals. It’s great to see Rhona back to full fitness after struggling with illness earlier in the year. In W16, Jenny Ricketts finished 2nd and Evelyn Mason 3rd, whilst in W14 Rosie Getliff and Megan Ricketts also finished 2nd and 3rd. Josh Dudley was 3rd in M18 and Ewan McMillan 2nd in M14. In the M12 class Maroc took a clean sweep of the placings with Jake Chapman, Joe Wright and Alistair Chapman 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. Grant McMurtrie was 2nd M10. In the senior classes, Jon Musgrave snatched victory by 2 seconds from long time rival Martin Bagness, in M50.
A couple of weeks previously at Forvie there were victories once again for Rhona McMillan in W18, Jake Chapman in M12, and Jon Musgrave in M50. Jenny Ricketts also won W16 and Grant McMurtrie M10.
The final two rounds of the Scottish O League races will be held in October.
