Juniors win North Area Club Trophy

MAROC juniors won the North Area Inter-Club Junior Trophy at Cambus O’May at the weekend. With six class winners in Abi Mason, Luke Graham, Alistair Chapman, Gemma Collins, Megan Ricketts and Grant McMurtrie, last years winners INVOC were pushed into 3rd place with GRAMP 2nd.

"Here are the summarised results from today's Inter-Club Junior Competition. Well done to MAROC for showing us just how good your junior section is! Unfortunately this competiton doesn't yet seem to have had quite the desired result (ie enticing more of our newer juniors to travel to a bigger event). Rome wasn't built in a day though, so hopefully if we all keep encouraging our newcomers then more clubs than MAROC can field full teams next year, and more juniors can come and experience a SOL.
I'm sure that if we all promote it by word of mouth we can make this in to a decent competition in the years to come and the other north clubs can give MAROC a bit more competition. SOL 5 or 6 seems to be as good a time as any to do this and it doesn't take much organising.
There was a sight error in the points calculation at the presentation (a GRAMP W50 slipped in to the junior points!), but the result was the same.
Thanks to John and the team, for a great event today. If you get round to getting a trophy John, can you get it engraved with INVOC for 2010 as well as yourselves for this year.
