Several MAROC teams, or part teams are entered for this years Lowe Alpine Mountain Marathon. The LAMM is a 2-day mountain orienteering event that takes place each year in the Scottish Highlands. The emphasis is always on providing challenging routes in classic high mountain country. The exact location will not be revealed until two days before the start.

A C class prizewinner last year with son Douglas, Alastair Marshall changes partner this time around pairing up with second offspring Rosalyn and taking a shot at the D class. This completes the set for Alastair as his first LAMM was with wife Sue.

There's plenty of potential internal MAROC rivalry on the C course with Dan Gooch partnering GRAMPs Tim Gomersall and having the look of a team that might just be challenging for the overall C competition. For both Andrew McMurtrie and Roger Coombs, this will be their 8th go at either the LAMM, the OMM or it's predecessor the KIMM. Andrew once again partners his best man, Mike Hynd from London whilst Roger will run with second son Calum, fresh back from a University year in Trondheim, Norway.  Esther Gooch and Jane Douglas from Finzean are attempting their first MM whilst Neil Campbell and Chris Low together with respective partners complete the MAROC C class contingent.

At the slightly sharper end Nick Collins teams up with Gareth Yardley of GRAMP on the B. This will be the first MM for both of them.

Good luck all, we look forward to lots of banter at the overnight camp.
