Producing and Publishing Event Results: March 2024
As part of our obligations to Maroc members and to British Orienteering, all event results, large and small, must be published on the respective Websites.
For results on the Maroc Website:
1. Generate a .html results file from the SportIdent Event Software as instructed in this video: MAROC SI-Timing - 7.1 - Produce html results (youtube.com)
2. Send the .html file to one of several people who can promptly post results on the Maroc Website. Check before the event who can be standing by at short notice to make the post (marocscotland.org.uk after the @ symbol). Every effort should be made to publish the results the evening of a day event or within 24 hours of a night event.

For results on the British Orienteering Website and for Routegadget:
1. Generate a .csv results file from the SportIdent Event Software as instructed in this video: MAROC SI-Timing - 7.2 - Produce csv results (youtube.com)
2. Send the .csv file to Andy Tivendale (andyDOTtivendaleATgmailDOTcom) along with the following event data for setting up Routegadget, exported from the Condes Course Planning Software. Competitors always appreciate it if this is done in a timely manner:
- The Course Data .xml file. (Export > Export event data > Export event data (IOF XML))
- A blank map as a .jpg file. (Export > Export maps and courses as bitmap > select blank map > Export)
- A long course as a .pdf file. (Print > Maps with courses > select course and check printer set up > Print (Microsoft Print to PDF)
