Pre Event Info

There will be orienteering training available in Dess Woods next Sunday morning at 10:30am for all - from beginners (Technical Difficulty 1) to Technical Difficulty 5 and Talent Squad.  It will take about 1/12 hours. £2 for adults, £1 for juniors.

Meet at Deeside Activity Park AB34 5BD & grid ref: NJ567014 (please park to the right,  slightly away from the building).  If you wish to warm-up and have some lunch or a drink afterwards I encourage you to patronise their café and there will be a Sunday Carvery in the Restaurant (not sure if you have to book for that: E-mail :    Tel: 013398 83536).

Please bring appropriate clothing, footwear, your compass and a clear map bag if you have one.  Some of the tracks currently have water running along them,  but they aren't too muddy and the off-path terrain is fine.  It might get a bit icy on some paths at the weekend - who knows?

Please let Trevor know by noon on Saturday who is planning to take part, so that he can ensure that enough maps are available.

Safety and Risk

A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser, but participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event.

SPORTident timing will be used

Please note that a lost hire SI-Card will be charged for at a rate of £30, unless the Club Commitee agrees that there are special circumstances.
