Pre Event Info

An opportunity to try your hand at orienteering in a context where you can experience and appreciate the natural environment around them you.

Two courses available for you have a go at:

1: A very simple nature-themed course within the confines of the Games Field, aimed at families with young children

2: A longer course out into Morrone Birkwood with answers to be found at each control point that will complete a “story” about the muir.

No special equipment is necessary. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and either running / walking shoes or boots. Don’t forget waterproof and a change of clothes if the weather looks poor. Participants will be provided with a specially prepared map and other equipment to complete the challenge.

Location: Braemar Community Hub, Games Field Visitor Centre, Braemar

Booking: Cost:£2 adult, £1 juniors, £5 max per family, this is a drop in activity, come anytime, all welcome.

A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser, but participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event.

Please note that a lost hire SI-Card will be charged for at a rate of £30, unless the Club Commitee agrees that there are special circumstances.
