Bellwood Spring Series

Wed 14th Apr 2021

Type of event: Local Race, Sprint
Type of terrain: Forest
Info updated: 11th Apr

Part of the spring series.  There will be two courses:

  • Yellow (TD2) 2.6km 15m climb 11 controls (one short leg will be taped)
  • Forest Sprint (TD3) 3.3km 30m climb 10 controls

Entries via this link before 10pm on Monday 12th April. Unfortunately the event is only open to Maroc members resident in Aberdeenshire, due to COVID rules.

The Forest Sprint includes a route choice that could pass through the bike park area.  Please take care in this area, watch for bikes and avoid crossing tracks that are in use.

Map and SI-card collection and download will be in the small forest carpark at the west end of Bellwood with the start and finish close by.  Please note that there are only about 10 parking spaces here so please park on Bellwood Drive next to the playpark (just past the hospital turn-off), which is about 300 metres walk away (see map).  Please don’t park by the houses close to the woodland entrance.

SI Timing with touch-free if you have an SIAC-card. Hire SI-Cards available.

Pre-entry only to aid ‘Trace and Protect’, no cash on the day. Just turn up, collect your map and hired SI-Card if pre-ordered and go straight to the start.

Pre-allocated start times between 5:40pm and 7pm.

Covid precautions must be followed including 2m distancing and not gathering in groups of more than 15 people.

All participants need to take note of the following important information:

  • If you're displaying one or more Covid-19 symptoms you must not attend.
  • If you are in Covid-19 quarantine you must not attend.
  • People in higher risk categories as set out by the government should be aware that attending could put you at increased risk.
