Maroc is the orienteering club for the Deeside area. The ancient Kingdom of Mar, lies in Aberdeenshire between the Rivers Don and Dee amidst spectacular scenery, extending from the sea to the mountains in the north east of Scotland.
Maroc is proud to have been awarded Aberdeenshire Sports Club of the Year for 2018 and 2019!

This is the home of MAROC, one of Scotland’s most thriving orienteering clubs which, in spite of the relatively remote homeland, is a club that is blessed with some of the best Orienteering terrain in Britain. It is also a club that frequently “punches above its weight” when it comes to both competition and organisation.

- Maintain a sustainable top quality orienteering club based in the Deeside area of Aberdeenshire
- Foster an inclusive club environment where volunteering is natural and supported
- Develop Junior orienteering, leading to competition at the highest national levels
- Provide a variety of quality events locally, suitable for club members at all skill levels
- Expand orienteering participation into the Upper Deeside, Mearns and Alford/Donside areas of Aberdeenshire
