The
President and Vice President are executive officers of the committee and
shall be elected annually at the AGM, as required by the constitution.

Where
possible and practicable, the Vice President post will be utilised to coach
and develop a potential successor to the post of President
-
The
President and Vice President will mutual agree how to divide the roles and
responsibilities between them. In
the event of no Vice President being elected, it shall fall to the President
to undertake the complete set of roles and responsibilities, prioritising as
necessary.

The
President should have a desire to operate at regional and national levels,
and have the contacts and experience to enable this. The Vice President may use his time in office to build such
contacts and experience prior to being elected to the post of President.

The
Honorary President is a purely ceremonial office;
-
To
honour the person concerned;
-
Who
shall be elected from time to time;
-
Nominations
having been considered by the committee;
-
Taking
no part in the normal operation of the committee.

Roles and
Responsibilities:
Internal
to Maroc

Leadership
and setting expectations: creating the environment for the committee to act
in accordance with it’s agreed practices
-
Seek
to ensure delivery on the club’s commitment to no harm to the people and
the environment affected by our activities

Chair
meetings
-
Ensure
follow through on Actions – tend to delegate rather than do
-
Development
and delivery of the club strategy/development plan
-
Maintain
and deliver a succession plan for committee posts
-
Financial
Authority (shared with the Treasurer and other approved signatories)
-
Ensure
compliance with the club Constitution
-
The
custodian and conscience of the club – act always to encourage
External
to Maroc
-
Represent
Maroc at regional and national levels
-
Act as
the “public face of Maroc” -
speak for the club
-
Networking
and interfaces external to Maroc
