  • Develop and maintain the mapping strategy for the club.  This strategy will be presented to the full committee for approval on an annual basis or after material changes.

  • Investigate new mapping options and assess suitability for the club, examples being greater use of digital maps, e.g. OCAD and printing as required event maps.

  • Maintain a record of mapped areas and how up to date the maps.

  • Identify new areas suitable for mapping for orienteering noting including both technical suitability and restrictions such as access or permission restrictions.

  • Develop a programme of mapping that will include re-mapping and the addition of new areas.

  • Maintain a record of pre-printed map stocks, their location and arrange re-printing if required.

  • Represent MAROC at Forestry Commission and appropriate local landowner meetings
