Local Thursday events in June 2016
Maroc is hosting a series of 3 local events in mid Deeside on Thursday evenings during June. The events will be suitable for beginners and recent starts, both juniors and adults.
Helpers will be available on each evening to get you started. Each event will offer 3 different courses:
- White - suitable for complete beginners. Routes follow tracks and paths
- Yellow - slightly harder, but still following line-features
- Orange -suitable for more confident adult novices and juniors with some experience. Courses may cross through terrain and have controls away from line-features
Start times between 17:00 and 18:30. Entry will be available on each night, but if you think you will probably be coming then please send an e-mail to sarah at scottish-orienteering.org with your name and course interested in. This will help us save resources and print the correct number of maps.
9th June 2016: Muirton Woods, Tarland. Park on north side of village. Grid Ref NJ485050
16th June 2016: Torphins Woods, Torphins. Start adjacent to church. Grid Ref NJ627022
23rd June 2016: Craigendarroch Woods, Ballater. Start on the south edge of Craigendarroch Hill. Grid Ref NO363961
