Thanks for coming!
Apologies are due to those on the Blue course who were looking for a small hill as shown in the control description for control eight on their course (212).  This was the originally intended feature before the control was moved to the crag that the circle was centred on.  The control circle was moved, but the description was not updated accordingly.  Sorry!

Pre Event Info

The event will also incorporate the NORTH AREA INTER-CLUB JUNIOR CHALLENGE 2013.

Parking - £1 per car.  We have very kindly been allowed to park in the field to the north of the petrol station on the entry to Braemar on the A93 from the Ballater direction (NO 153 919).  Please keep to the designated area in the field to minimize damage to the grass and to avoid the helicopter landing area.
Competitors will have to cross the A93 to get to the competition area.  This will be marshalled, but young children should be accompanied.
Please note that the parking is in an area used by the Mountain Rescue helicopter. In the unlikely event that it is present, please follow the directions of the marshals.
Creag Choinnich is very well used by visitors and locals including dog walkers so please treat other users with respect. Dogs are allowed in the forest and in the car park providing they are on a lead.
Public toilets and a range of tea rooms and shops are available in the village.

It would help us if you could pre-enter by sending an email to with your name, BOF number and course, to help ensure we have enough maps available. To help filter the emails, please put EEE in the subject line for the email. For those who send in an early email entry, you just come to registration at the event, pay for your run and pick up a timing brikke. (There is no need to complete an entry slip.) A map will be reserved for you - but only until 12 noon on Sunday.

Please note that this is not a full Pre-entry. It's entirely on a "no obligation" basis and no charge will be made if you cannot come to the event. If you change your mind, and decide on the morning of the event to run a different course, that's fine too (providing there are sufficient maps).
