Pre Event Info

For those of you less familiar with Condes (the software used to plan o-courses), an opportunity for a bit of training to find out that it's really quite straightforward - to give you the confidence to plan one of the club's orienteering events.

The format is up to 5 people bring their laptops to my dining room table and we build a few courses together and try out the main Condes functionality. 7pm plug in and boot-up,  tea & cake, then 7:30pm-9pm running Condes. If you haven't done already, you'll also need to attend a 'planners course', which will teach you all about how to plan O courses, but only looks at Condes very briefly.

Anyone with basic IT skills has little to worry about, I'm still trying to find the 'any' key on my laptop when it says 'press any key to continue'.

Safety and Risk

A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser, but participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event.
Participants in orienteering should be aware of the risk of tick bites - more information here.

SPORTident timing will be used

Please note that a lost hire SI-Card will be charged for at a rate of £30, unless the Club Commitee agrees that there are special circumstances.
